# Overview

For merchants using any of the supported turnkey platforms, integrating Recover is designed to be straightforward and efficient for your team. The integration process typically includes these steps:

1. **Create an API Key:** Create a dedicated API key that Recover will use to connect to your platform securely.
2. **Recover Onboarding:** Butter configures the necessary APIs and webhooks to seamlessly integrate with your platform.
3. **Data Ingestion:** Recover operates in data ingestion mode during a pre-launch period to ensure a comprehensive view of failed payments in your system.
4. **Launch:** Recover takes over retrying your failed payments.
